This guide explains how the program works, what's expected of scouts, and how payment works.
The scout program works best for people who already have a genuine, personal connection to a property, not strangers going door to door looking for listings. If your own family owns a house with a room to rent, if a relative has a property sitting empty, or if your own landlord has other units available, you're already in the strongest position to become a scout, since the trust and access are already there.
This matters because submitting a property means representing that landlord accurately, with their real knowledge and consent. That's naturally easier, and far more reliable, when you already have a personal relationship with them, rather than approaching someone you've never met. General neighborhood scouting, finding landlords you don't already know, is possible too, but it's the harder, slower path compared to starting with people already in your own circle.
Signing up as a scout starts on our Scout page, where you'll review the terms of the program before creating an account. Registration requires your full name, which must match the name on the mobile money account you'll be paid through, and a Mobile Money number in your name.
Using accurate, matching details from the start avoids payment delays later, since payments are sent directly to the Mobile Money account tied to your registration.
When you find a landlord with a genuine property available to rent, you'll submit the details through your scout account, including photos of the property and accurate information about the landlord.
This is important, and worth being clear about. Submitting a property on a landlord's behalf requires that landlord's full knowledge and consent, and the information you submit must be accurate. Submitting false landlord details, or listing a property without the landlord's actual consent, is a serious violation of our terms and can result in your account being suspended.
Once submitted, our team reviews the property the same way any other listing is reviewed, checking that the details are genuine before it goes live. If approved, the submission is credited to your scout account, and your earnings reflect the rate set for approved submissions at that time.
Payments are made manually via Mobile Money once you reach a payout, and you can track your submitted, approved, and pending earnings directly from your scout dashboard at any time.
The rate paid per approved submission can be adjusted by CapriHomeGh from time to time. Any rate change only affects new approvals going forward, never submissions you've already had approved, so your existing earnings are never reduced retroactively.
It's worth prioritizing quality over quantity. A small number of genuine, accurate submissions is worth far more than a large number of submissions that fail review, since only approved properties are paid. Take the time to confirm details directly with the landlord, and make sure you have their actual consent, before submitting anything.
Keep your registered name and Mobile Money number accurate and up to date. If either changes, update your account promptly to avoid any issue receiving payment for approved submissions.
